FAQs

Sydney mama, Lucy, stands by the window cuddling her newborn during their at home newborn session.

01. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?

I have been shooting paid sessions for ten years. Before I became a professional photographer, I held senior marketing and communications roles and was closely involved in many shoots, so you could say I’ve been around!

02. WHERE ARE YOU BASED? DO PEOPLE TRAVEL TO SHOOT WITH YOU AND DO YOU TRAVEL?

I am based in Pottsville in Northern New South Wales, which is just north Byron Bay, where I shoot most of my sessions. You’ll also find me shooting at Cabarita Beach, Hastings Point, Kingscliff, Brunswick Heads, Lennox Head and the Gold Coast often. So many of the families and couples I photograph travel to our beautiful region to holiday and shoot with me. We really do live in paradise and have so many incredible locations to shoot and explore. And, yes, if you’re keen for me to photograph your family, pregnancy, newborn or elopement in your home town, wherever that might be, I love to travel.

03. HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES, HOW MANY WILL I RECEIVE AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

You will receive a link to your private, online gallery of images delivered directly to your inbox. From your gallery you can download and save your images in high and low resolution and order prints from my online store. I only work with local Australian professional printing labs, so you can be confident in the quality of your print products and efficient delivery.

My packages vary in terms of the number of final images delivered. Get in touch to receive my detailed pricing overview.

For family, newborn or maternity sessions, you can expect to receive your gallery in 4 weeks or less. For elopements, you can expect to receive your gallery in 6 weeks or less. After all of my sessions I send you some sneak peeks within a few days so you can get a taste of the magic we created and share with family and friends.

04. DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Absolutely! A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your date and time, with the final balance due 10 days prior to our session, but I’m so happy to work with you to set up a payment plan to pay your balance in instalments to help you budget.

05. DO YOU PROVIDE RAW UNEDITED IMAGES?

I don’t provide my RAW or unedited images, because the way I edit and deliver my images is a big part of the reason you connected with my work in the first place. This is where your photos truly come alive. Imagine picking a restaurant based on the quality of the chef and menu, then asking the chef to only serve you the ingredients so you could make the meal yourself. I promise I thoughtfully select, edit and deliver imges that best tell your story.

06. CAN YOU PHOTOSHOP US?

I don’t alter the way you look other than skin blemishes or anything temporary such as bruises, cuts, cold sores etc (unless you’d like me to keep it in the photos). If there is something you are self concious about, please let me know and I’ll be sure to consider that when I’m shooting you.

07. WHAT DO I/WE WEAR TO OUR SESSION?

This is the fun part! I love to help you choose your outfits. You can totally share photos of what you’re thinking of wearing and get my advice, and I can even share some clothing stores and styles that I think would work a treat. But when it all comes down to it, I honestly recommend you wear something that is YOU and that you feel AMAZING in.

08. WHAT IF WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL OUR SESSION OR ELOPEMENT?

If you need to reschedule due to illness, please get in touch and I will do my best to reschedule your session. If you choose to cancel your elopement or session for any reason, I’ll be really disappointed we don’t get to make memories together, but of course, I’ll understand. The booking fee is legally non-refundable.

09. WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

01. DO YOU HELP IN THE PLANNING PROCESS?

I love to embrace whatever weather comes our way, as it makes for beautiful, authentic images - wind creates movement, storm clouds make for dramatic images, overcast skies give the creamiest skin tones, and light sprinkles of rain produce the snuggliest moments. If the weather is harsh and it will make for an ordinary experience or ruin my equipment and I can reschedule, that’s absolutely what we’ll do.

You bet I do! You can pick my brain about anything at all - locations, accomodation, celebrants, hair and makeup artists, outfits and timelines. I’m here to help make your elopement experience incredible!

02. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CAN’T BE AT OUR ELOPEMENT?

I've never had this happen, but if I couldn't be at your elopement, I would communicate with you openly and honestly and help you find a replacement photographer that I trust with a similar style. And of course I would refund any money paid to me or pay it directly to the replacement photographer. There may also be the option for a photographer that I know and trust to shoot your elopement and I edit your photos so that you’re still getting my style.
